April Schedule
It's a Bologna squeeze! And a new Club!

Many apologies for the radio silence this month, as you (hopefully) know from my last post, I went to Bologna Children’s Bookfair, with a mini-break in Rome tacked on to the beginning with my family. So, I am going to squeeze the April schedule into the last half of April!
I have got soooo much to say about Bologna and actually, about everything - including telling you about a brand new zine I am making, and some new prints that will be dropping in my shop any day - but for now I am keeping this focused on the schedule.

Picture Book Club
Weds 24th April, 8-9pm. Zoom
So, some of you eagle-eyed people might have seen on Instagram that I was going to do If You Run Out Of Words by the wonderful Felicita Sala, but it seems to be being re-stocked online, and not available to buy, which ain’t much good for Picture Book Club. So Katie Clapham of Terrible at Titles has suggested The Little Wooden Robot and the Log Princess by Tom Gauld, and Katie has impeccable taste, and it looks and sounds great and won Foyles Children’s Book of the Year and I love Tom’s comic’s in The Guardian, so I am making it the selection for this month’s club! You can buy it from my Bookshop.org Picture Book Club store. It is affiliate, meaning if you buy the book, I get a tiny percentage of your purchase. Well, every little helps, I think a wise person superstore said!
Also, I hear he is doing a book-signing at Gosh Comics on Free Comics Day! So, if you live near enough, you can get your copy signed, maybe get some free comics and hopefully pick up some extra books, to help support an excellent shop! Have you ever been to Gosh Comics, in Soho? It is fab! And there’s a Cass Art practically next door - win-win!
Art Club
Thurs 25th April, 12.30 - 1.30 pm GMT. Zoom
I enjoyed doing a lunchtime art club last month, so I am going to stick with it for a bit.
This is your monthly Art Club, where I lead you through an intuitive art play session. Designed to get you out of your logical thinking brain, and into your free-flowing intuitive self! Look out for a separate post with more details soon. But this month will be Italy and Bologna inspired!! There may well be some statues involved. Should be fun!
NEW! Co-Working Club
Monday 22nd April, 2-3pm GMT. Zoom
I was thinking how nice it was to do Art Club in the day, and thinking it would be fun to do some co-working sessions. The idea is that we work companionably together, cameras on or off, for hour-long sessions, for accountability and for a bit of company. Working alone in the studio can be quite isolating, can’t it? I will keep it quite structured, so we will start with a 5 min hello, then 50 mins of working, and a 5 min goodbye! With some potential chatting and sharing at the end if we want.
