Happy Book Birthday to me!!
Celebrate my second book with me!
Hello! I am coming to you with an exciting post today, because yesterday, my second ever illustrated book published!
It is called Rewild the World at Bedtime, published by Wide Eyed Editions and written by Emily Hawkins. It was such an honour to illustrate these stories written so beautifully by Emily. They are real-life stories of rewilding from around the world, and Emily has done a beautiful job of creating soothing, optimistic stories, creating some much-needed optimism about the very real anxiety around climate change for both parents and children alike. We worked together in one of my first jobs, so when we got paired together for this book, it felt like it was meant to be.
The whole team at Wide Eyed Editions were an absolute joy to work with, and I am looking forward to some exciting events to celebrate publication!

My favourite thing to do is to sit outside and paint in nature, and it felt like the natural next step to paint these real-life stories of Rewilding from around the world.
It was amazing to travel with my paintbrush to learn about the wolves of Yellowstone Park, elephants in Mozambique, the bee highway in Norway, saving the Tigers in Nepal - and to learn about all the amazing people who are working so hard to heal some of the mistakes of the past. I hope it will help give the children reading it a sense of hope for the future. I know it did for me!
