Hello! I’m coming to you today with the replay from last week’s Art Club. I found myself revelling in it this month; I think after months of dealing with very-important-deadlines it felt especially freeing to make artwork for the sake of making and enjoying the process. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
These are free, playful and fun art sessions. Each month I choose a theme or material I want to play around with and you can either join in, or go off-piste, and do your own thing. I might spend a session playing with wet textures, playing around with how things bleed, mix together, blend. Other times I might grab a handful of random materials and play around with those together. All previous Art Play Dates are available as replays, and each new session adds to the back catalogue to watch and play along with.

I’m still playing with exploring still lives, as it’s such a nice way to explore mark-making and colour, and this week I enjoyed painting my new Staffordshire figurine purchase amongst the chaos of my desk. I rather enjoyed the contrast of the messy paint splatters and ink bottles with the beautiful ceramic pottery piece.
Here are some photos of the piece I created. I’ve decided to start selling the pieces I make in Art Club. I’ve started a dedicated Art Club Originals page, which I will add to each month. You can browse and purchase here.

I hope you enjoy the replay - do let me know how you get on, and send me links of your creations in the chat.
Until next time!
