Hello everyone and happy Friday! I am coming to you with part two of my May Studio Update, which includes:
- a little show and tell of my NEW KNITS - which I haven't shown anywhere else
- a little creative ramble about working by intuition
- a chat about how I am feeling after completing MY FIRST PICTURE BOOK!
I had just woken up from a nap when I recorded it - so I apologise for the yawns!! I wanted to authentically record the video, and I have been pretty tired since finishing the artwork, so this video reflects that. But I hope you find some useful and interesting insights from it.
This feels like a big one! Something I have been building towards over best part of the last decade, and I am trying my best to drink up all the feelings and to celebrate, as best I can, completing the artwork!
I made this little film after I had packaged it all up!
I have been reading a lot recently about how important it is to celebrate things - it is so easy to let the big moments slip by! So I have celebrated finishing the artwork by:
- eating a big celebration burger!
- having a little moment of celebration when I packaged up the artwork, and taking some pics and the above little film, so I had recorded the moment
- posting about it on Instagram
- saying out loud that I feel happy and proud - and chatting with close friends and family about it
It felt good to actually mark the moment like that - I recommend it!
Now I am head down again working on the artwork for my other book, which is due mid/end June, and also working on development work for another exciting project, so it is all go!
I'll be in touch asap about our next Play Date. For now, sending big creative love and hope you have a lovely weekend!
Ella xx
