New Branding!
Same ever Gather • Filter • Make
Hello to you all!
I hope you’re all doing very well.
Ahead of Bologna, I wanted to head-off with my website and Substack looking as ship-shape as possible. I’ve been wanting to give everything a bit of a spruce up - a spring clean, if you will - for a while, and today I got swept up in a flurry of colours, scribbles and words, and here we are, I’ve created new assets for everything. I hope you like it!
So what’s changed?
I have changed the main logos, so instead of saying Gather • Filter • Make, they now say Ella Beech, which matches my website, and also means you know who wrote the emails that pop-up in your feed and emails!
I hope this makes me look uber professional now. In actual fact, I’m sure there will be bits I haven’t updated, so bear with me while I usher in the new and slowly weed out the old branding.
Everything is the same, but there is one important change I want to tell you about. I have renamed Accountability Club, so it is now Studio Club! The old name just felt a bit long and clunky, and this feels more reflective of what we do as well.
A Bologna Bonus!
As you may remember, I boldly wrote a post a while a go saying I was putting the price of my Substack up. I was supposed to be doing it at the end of February, but I didn’t actually activate it. Woops! So I have now updated it, so all paid subscriptions from now on will be £7 a month. If you are a current paid subscriber, don’t worry, nothing will change, you will remain on the price you signed up for. This only applies to new subscribers. And if you would like to join now, here is a 30% discount, meanng you can sign up for £4.90 until the end of next week - when I’m back from Bologna.
Please feel free to finish this post now. But for those who would like reminding of all the different meet-ups, here’s a reminder - along with all the shiny new branding!
Studio Club is a daily co-working space designed to support sustained creative practice. Join me most weekdays (9.30–10.30am UK time) for a live Zoom session where we show-up together and work quietly alongside one another.
These sessions are about creating space for the “engine room” work of creativity: returning to neglected projects, exploring ideas, and building momentum through regular practice. There’s no pressure to perform, just a chance to work creatively together for an hour (or catch up on admin!) and the encouragement that comes from working together.
I wrote a long post about why I started it - you can read it here.
Art Club is a fun, relaxed and informal space for making and exploring together. Each session is designed as a moment to step away from pressure or perfection and allow lots of space for happy accidents through play, mark-making, and intuitive flow. We work alongside each other in real-time, sharing prompts, experiments and reflections, with the focus on showing up rather than producing finished work. All Art Clubs are available as replays, and each new session adds to the back catalogue to watch and play along with.
Picture Book Club is an online book club to explore children’s books together. We look closely at illustration, storytelling, publishing and everything in-between; conversations often meander wonderfully, and it’s always the highlight of my month! It’s part book discussion, part creative conversation, and always shaped by the group. One of my favourite things on the MA was when we looked at Picture Books together and analysed them, so I am thrilled to run this on my Substack. I announce the book at the beginning of the month along with some questions for you to consider, and then the live Zoom happens the end of the month to chat all about it! It is available as a replay afterwards for those who can’t make it.
If you’ve stuck with me until the end - thank you! And see you again soon for more creative fun!
Ella xx
