New Year Spruce Up (part three)
Setting Intentions aka pointing your wind-up toy in the right direction!
Hello!
I hope you are all doing OK in these final few days of January! And what a few days they will be… I think in January maths, it is probably equivalent to about two more weeks because this January seems to be ENDLESS! I mean, how can it only be the 27th? And still, four days to go! I need to be paid! I need to feel like Spring is a tiny bit closer! I need… I don’t know, maybe it’s just psychological, but I just am done with January! Saying that. I am also due to finish the book I am working on by the end of the month, so in that respect, I am very happy for time to move as slowly as possible.
I am actually here for the final instalment of my New Year Spruce Up posts. Let’s kick things off with another cat from the book I am working on. Like this cat, we are licking our paws and rubbing ourselves clean (how does that actually work? I never quite understand that cat cleaning method!) and who knows, perhaps this will help us all limp towards the January finish line with some hope and heck, even some enthusiasm.
So, this is part three, Setting Intentions. This is the part that might feel the most like setting some New Year’s resolutions, but I have designed them a bit differently so they feel less like a shot in the dark, and hopefully are designed in a way that will help them feel more achievable.
I have designed two worksheets to help you pull together everything from your thoughts, hopes, dreams, lists and turn them into something a bit more concrete.
Part One helps you take a final reflection on 2023, helping you decide what you want to bring with you into 2024 and what you want to leave behind.
Part Two helps you break down your dreams, hopes, reflections and everything we have done into what I hope are some achievable goals, with is a video to accompany it, with (sort of) animated drawings I made.
This is your last chance to get 20% off for a whole year - the offer ends at the end of January. I won’t do any more offers for a while after this, so if you are considering upgrading, now is an ideal time. And it means you can join me right at the beginning of a fresh new year, which is always nice isn’t it?
This creative space that I call Gather • Filter • Make helps support me in so many ways. It means I have space to continue making personal work and personal creative development, It supports my work as a published illustrator (I can’t live on the advance payments alone) and helps fuel this Substack, so if you want to see more, I would love it if you would consider becoming a paid subscriber.
