Hello to you all! Happy autumn month - my favourite time of year. I love this time, when you have the excitement of Christmas approaching, and all the fun holidays like Halloween and Bonfire Night/Fireworks Night. All the trees are lit up with pinks, yellows and oranges, and if you’re lucky, you get crisp sunshiny days!
First of all - I was on a podcast! With the wonderful Steven Lenton on his excellent Podcast Studiomate Steve. It was my first ever time as a podcast guest, and Steve was a super lovely and gentle host, Thanks Steve! You can listen here (or any other podcast provider).
I have got a mad month ahead, with lots of teaching, a trip to London, and lots of painting to get done for the new book I am working, on, and I am still recovering from Covid, so I am shifting everything forward by a week. Thanks for your patience as I get through this very busy autumn!
Ok, onto the schedule for November.
Make Week: 6 - 12th November
This first week, we’ll use for the (slightly delayed, because of my Covid) making week, for all of you joining in the prompt from last month. And then I will post a selection of the work you make. Keep your eyes out for more details on that shortly.
Motivation Monthly
Weds 15th Nov, 8pm
As always, we will start the month (slightly delayed) with a lovely gentle and loving dose of motivation, intention setting, planning and organising. We also have fun writing a ta-da list where you list all of the things you can remember from the last month. I always find this bit a really nice thing to do, especially when you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. It’s great to take a moment and appreciate all the things that were ahead of you, and stressing you out the month before!
Art Play Date
Weds 22nd November, 8pm
Our monthly “Art Play Date” where I will set a gentle intention for the session and lead you through an intuitive art play session. Designed to get you out of your logical thinking brain, and into your free-flowing intuitive self!
Picture Book Club
Wednesday 29th October, 8pm
We will do the delayed book-club (thanks Covid!) looking at one of my favourite recently released books I Talk Like a River, written by Jordan Scott and Illustrated by Sydney Smith.
If you don’t already own this book, can I suggest you get it from, friends of Gather•Filter•Make:
Katie Clapham’s fabulous shop, here is a link to purchase the book from her.
Or Helen Hancock’s brilliant Shelf Editions. Here is a link to purchase the book from her.
Thanks to you all for your patience with this slightly shifted schedule, and for the delays caused by my bout of Covid! Can’t wait to catch up with you all soon
Ella x
