Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well.
At the beginning of this year, I decided on a word for the year instead of setting a New Year's Resolution. I wrote about it in this post when I was introducing my Artist Play Dates (which has been running monthly, since January, you can watch all the replays if you are a paid subscriber).
The word I chose is EXPLORE. When I chose the word, I was feeling like I had got a bit stuck in my studio, and I wanted to make sure that my life as an illustrator had variety, as well as doing the actual creative work (which, of course, is the bit I am here for). I wanted to remind myself to keep exploring all the different aspects and opportunities available to me as an illustrator and artist.
One of the things I wanted to do was to do some print fairs and to make sure that I didn’t back out, I signed up to some early on in the year.
And so, I find myself committed and they are fast approaching!
I will be at the Kings Cross Illustration Fair on July 8th (I’ll be there with my pals Ruby, Sharon and Bianca Lucas), and The Lookout Illustration Fair in Norwich on September 20th with my pal Cathy Eliot.
So, firstly, this is an invite to those of you who can make it - I’d love to see you there!
For those of you who can’t make it, I thought I would do a little virtual fair here! If you would like to buy anything, I am offering you an exclusive subscriber discount of 15% off everything in my shop! Just use the code SUMMERSUB15 at checkout. (This is for all my subscribers, not just my paid ones).
ZINES
I now have a collection of 6 different zines available to buy. They are all from images made in my sketchbooks on location, that I scan and make into little collections. I have two of sketches I made in my garden, and two of sketches made by the river. There’s one I have called Hidden Cambridge, which is drawings made in some of the lovely hidden spots of Cambridge. And a collection of sketches made in my favourite place in the world: Tenby, where I have gone on holiday countless times, and holds a very special place in my heart. You can have a browse through them all in my shop, and if you click through to each zine, you can have a virtual flip-through to see what’s inside each one.
CARDS
I am slowly growing my collection of cards. I have made two concertina design cards, as I love a concertina! I love the way you reveal the design as you open it.
This is one inspired by my love of old porcelain pottery, which I love to draw and paint, and have a growing collection of. There’s something both kitch and romantic about the designs, especially from the Victorian era, and I hope my card captures some of that! I’m planning to make some individual cards too, would you be interested in that? Let me know if you are…

PRINTS
I have a growing number of prints available. You can get them at A5, A4 and A3 and the square format ones come in small, medium and larger too.
Here’s a little video scroll through of some of them, and click through to see the full range.
ORIGINAL ART
I have started selling a few pieces of original art. This is something I would like to grow, but for now, here’s a little look at what I have available.
Well, that’s it for now - there’s lots more in my full shop - click below to see. I’d love it if you wanted to have a browse, it’s been really affirming to write this and realise how much my shop is growing, and I feel proud that I have continued to push myself out of my comfort zone, and continue to explore this sometimes rocky terrain of illustrator life!
If you have any questions or there’s something you’d like to see stocked, drop me a message or add a comment. It’s always nice to hear from you!

Explore is such an excellent and motivating word for the year Els! It's a great idea - I think I need a word too... I'm going to think on it. And you have so many wonderful things in your shop now, the zines look great xxx
