swatching and review - Prismacolor and Blackwing Matte

I love trying art materials!

Hello all! I ordered a few new art materials this month, some of my faves - they are both re-orders of materials I already love - so I thought I would do a little review and swatch video for you! 

First off: the Blackwing Matte pencil - I have loved all the blackwing pencils for a while, but when I more recently discovered the Matte version, I was smitten! I swatch three Blackwing pencils in this video. The Matte, Pearl and Palomino 602. I just checked, and they also have a "natural" one, which I've not used, so I'll have to add that to my Christmas list!

Secondly: Prismacolor pencils. These became my favourite pencils as soon as I tried them. They go beautifully over most art materials, including acrylic paint, which I find most pencils slip on, and they pop amazingly, and apply so smoothly! Full review and chat about them in the video, plus I swatch the 20 or so colours from my recent order. 

I also chat a little bit about pencil sharpeners and show my technique for sharpening pencils with a scalpel or blade, for those of you who don't know how to do that. I love sharpening pencils like that!
