Hi Kinga! Yes! We drew together often! Both in quite a different way from early on, so that’s interesting! And initially Tor did illustration for her BA and I did Fine Art! But we still drew together a lot! X
Hello there, for picture book month it would be lovely to look at anything by Melissa Castrillon as she has such a distinctive and unique style. Also anything by Rebecca Green or Felicita Sala. I love the latter two as they work in traditional mediums and have such a painterly quality about their work. Looking forward to seeing people’s choices!
I guess I am late to suggest a collage book for this session. If not, I was thinking of a book that is not a story but feelings illustration for children (or for adults with children spirit!). I showed it in the Art Club before Christmas: “Laberinto del alma” (“Soul Laberinth” by Anna Llenas). She mixes drawings and collage on a beautiful and expressive way. I can’t find the English version, so it ‘d be only a visual analysis. Anyway, I think is too late.
I would’ve loved to get the subscription at 25% off but I wasn’t able to do it from the app. When I signed in into the browser, I couldn’t tell if it was applying the discount or not :( The very first illustration in this post is so cute!
I had no idea you and Tor go THAT far back :D
I am a fan of both of you!
It's so interesting you both ended up artists. Did you ever draw together as kids?

Oh, wait, no... I can't make the 20th at all. Every other Wednesday afternoon! But not that one. 😅
For once I shall be out of the house at that Art Play Date time, but shall come along anyway! I might just have to be on mute.
I'd love to see a painting process video. But sketchbook tours are fun too (but not as much). 😋
I love the window painting, it looks great!
The window painting is utterly charming ❤️. I would love to see a painting process video but a sketchbook tour is just as great :).
